This weeks lessons are all about numbers 6, 7 and 8

Lesson 4 - Matching 6,7 and 8

Today you are going to be matching the pairs that make 6, 7 and 8.

Growing 6, 7, 8

Try the activity below after the lesson. If you have a printer you can print and download some cards for this activity from today's page on the website.

You can make your own cards or adapt the game by using dominoes if you have them and use the ones that total 6, 7 and 8.

Don't forget the extra activities if you need them.

Additional maths for 'Growing 6, 7, 8!'

Mrs Bailey

Good afternoon! Please join me for a live Teams meeting at 12:45pm. I look forward to seeing you!

Music

Last week, you created your own rhythms on Purple Mash. I really enjoyed listening to them.

Today, we are going to think about changing the tempo of our rhythms.

Tempo means the speed that the music is played.

I would like you to create a rhythm on 2explore like you did last week.

Today, you are going to try changing the tempo of your rhythms.

(I will show you how to do this during our Live Teams meeting.)

Task 1:

Create a rhythm in 2explore.

2explore

Change the tempo of your rhythm.

Try listening to it being played quickly then slowly.

Do you prefer it when the tempo of your rhythm is slow? Or fast?

Can you tell your grown up why?

Try making a different rhythm and altering the tempo. Which do you prefer this time?

Let me know which you preferred on Seesaw!

I would also love to see your rhythms being played at different tempos if you can add them to Seesaw.

RE – Looking after the world

We have been learning about the Creation story, how Christians believe our world was created by God. Last week we thought about how some things are good for our world and how some things are bad for the world and are spoiling it.

This week we are going to think about looking after the world.

Please click here for a video where I explain your RE for today.

Task 1:

Think about the following question:

  • Whose job is it to look after the world?

Task 2:

Below is a lovely song all about caring for the environment. Please enjoy listening to it.

Tee and Mo - Help our little world

Afterwards, can you try and remember as many of the different ways that Tee and Mo looked after the world as you can?

These ideas will be useful for next week!

Have a lovely afternoon!
