‘Nurturing Individual Excellence’

Tuesday 2nd February

It's Tuesday!

Good morning everyone!

There is no live Teams meeting at 9.15 today as I have sent out invites for our RWI lessons.

As usual it would help if your child could be ready with something to write on such as whiteboard and pen or paper and pen/pencil.

My good morning video for today can be found at the bottom of this page.

The sessions are at the following times:

Owls: 9.30 - 9.45 am (Ditty for after the lesson is below)

Hedgehogs: 10.00 - 10.15 am (Ditty for after the lesson is below)

Rabbits: 10.30 - 10.45 am (Ditty for after the lesson is below)

Foxes: 11.00 - 11.15 am (Ditty for after the lesson is below)

Ditties are to help your child develop their reading fluency and allow them to apply their phonics skills.

Today we are also going to be doing ...

Dough Disco

Today's song is ...

Stevie Wonder - For Once in My Life

Remember to work those fingers! Can you include these actions in your routine today ...

Maths - 'Growing 6, 7, 8!' - week 2

We continue exploring 6, 7 and 8 again this week.

But let's get counting first.

Our focus this week is counting backwards from 20 to 1. Most children will find 20-10 tricky and then will get more confident once we reach 10 or even 5.

Encourage them to join in where they can.

Counting Down From Twenty

Lesson 2, week 2 - Making Pairs

Today you are going to be making pairs. A follow up activity cacn be found below.

'Growing 6,7,8!' - Week 2

Try the activity below after the lesson. You don't have to go on a walk you could look outside in your garden or just go for a walk around your house.

Additional activities can be found here.

Growing 6, 7 & 8 extra activities

Well being - Taking care of Teddy

Can you take care of Teddy or another soft toy/character?

How will you look after them ...

Cuddle them?

Read to them?

Make them somewhere to sleep/rest?

Feed them?

What else could you do?

Have a wonderful day.

See you for a bedtime story,
