Week Beginning 1/6/20
Welcome back to a new half term Year 3! This our last half term this year. You have all worked so hard and I am so proud of you all. I know it feels a bit strange working when you aren't in the classroom but that's ok to feel like that. All I ask is that you do your best.
Remember to try to read every day, this could be a book I have assigned you on Epic, your choice of books on Epic or any other book that you have at home. Don't forget to practise those times tables as well. There are lots of different ways that you can practise them. Be imaginative.
Geography
We have looked at different climate zones during our Egyptian and Antarctica topics so I thought it would good to use the BBC bitesize website to learn some more. There videos for you to watch and activities for you to do.

PE
I have managed to do some yoga over half term so I thought I'd find you some yoga to do as well. This one is all about Harry Potter as well. I hope you enjoy it.

Science
This week we are going to be looking at the human skeleton. I have found some videos for you to watch to help you learn about the function of the skeleton and the different parts. I would like you to have a go at labelling the different bones in the skeleton on the diagram. Try the common names of the bones first. Choose the star challenge you would like to tackle. The correctly labelled diagram is the last page for you to check. If you would like an extra challenge, try labelling the scientific names of the bones.

I have found some books about skeletons which I have assigned to you on Epic to take a look at.
Computing
Log onto Purple Mash to have a go at some 3D maze games. I am sure that you will be much better at them than I am! Once you have explored a few of the different games, use the 'How To Videos' to learn how to create your own 3D maze.
When you are ready, click on 2DIY3D to create your own maze. Remember to save your maze using your name in the Year 3 folder.
Follow these instructions to find the games.

History
Linked with our English work, I would like you to read the two extracts about Boudicca's rebellion. Each of these extracts is written by a different person. An important historical skill is to be able to compare different versions of the same event/story. Look for similarities and differences between the two extracts. Why might they be different?
