‘Nurturing Individual Excellence’

Tuesday 9th February

It's Tuesday!

Good morning everyone!

There is no live Teams meeting at 9.15 today as I have sent out invites for our RWI lessons. I will see some of you again for live 'Show and Tell' at 2.45pm.

My good morning video for today can be found at the bottom of this page. (It's the bottom video)

As usual it would help if your child could be ready with something to write on such as whiteboard and pen or paper and pen/pencil.

The sessions are at the following times:

Owls: 9.30 - 9.45 am (Ditty for today)

Hedgehogs: 10.00 - 10.15 am (Ditty for today)

Rabbits: 10.30 - 10.45 am (Ditty for today)

Foxes: 11.00 - 11.15 am (Ditty for today)

Ditties are to help your child develop their reading fluency and allow them to apply their phonics skills.

Today we are also going to be doing ...

Dough Disco

Today's song is ...

Kim Wilde - Kids in America

Remember to work those fingers! Can you include these actions in your routine today ...

sausage?

piano?

making a pizza?

superhero squeeze and walk the plank?

Additional maths activities

Mr Wolf's Pancakes

Next Tuesday it is Pancake Day or Shrove Tuesday.

Watch the story of Mr Wolf's Pancakes.

Mr Wolf's Pancakes

Questions to think about ...

What ingredients did Mr Wolf need for his pancakes?

Who did Mr Wolf ask for help?

Why do you think they wouldn't help him?

Can you think of any other stories with wolves in?

What did Mr Wolf do at the end of the story? Do you think it was okay that he did that?

We are going to be helping Mr Wolf remember what he needs by writing a shopping list for him.

Watch the video of me below to find out how to write a list. (It's the top video)

Now write your list for Mr Wolf. Try and write as much as you can by yourself. Just write the sounds you hear.
