Maths (You can join the live lesson on Microsoft Teams)
Today, we are going to consolidate our learning on the “bus stop method”.
Have a look at this video if you forget- it will remind you of the process!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4EcMON3F1yE
We will go through lots of examples on Teams and I will stay on for the duration of the lesson if you want any help!
You have seen these sheets before, D is *, E is ** and GD is ***. The answers are also attached if you want to check!
These are “thinking questions” that dive deeper into the learning we have done so far- read the questions carefully before you begin to answer them!
*If you think you would just benefit from more practise on using the bus stop method, there is a recap sheet at the bottom of this page that you can use instead of the mastery work.*
Times tables are so important for solving division calculations so please spend at least 10 minutes on TTRockstars each day this week!
Please upload your work to Seesaw under “Maths task”.
English (You can join the live lesson on Microsoft Teams)
Task 1
Today, we are going to start by quickly refreshing your memory for the different sentence types- questions, exclamations and statements. This is only a very quick activity- please only do ***!
Task 2
We are going to be looking at the past tense- simple past and past progressive. Have a look through the PowerPoint if you get stuck and remember I am on Teams for the duration of the lesson should you need help!
Please then upload any work you complete to “English Task” on Seesaw.
Guided Reading (Judy Moody Saves the World)
Please re-read chapter 7 and answer the following questions.
- Why did Judy climb a tree?
- What did Stink and Rocky do to try and get Judy to come down?
- How did Stink finally get Judy to come down from the tree?
- How did Judy react when she got down from the tree?
- Match up the word and the meaning.

Perch Person whose job it is to do small tasks for someone else
Please read chapter 8 for homework.
Music (No live input for this lesson)
Mrs Griffin has kindly planned our music lesson for us today!
Here's a new song for you to learn. It's performed by a 60s band called The Turtles.
Learn it here
LMT Big Sing - Tuesday 19th January - Happy Together - YouTube
Then sing along here
Happy Together - The Turtles (Lyrics) - YouTube
When you have learned the song could you make a poster about 1960s music? Who were the most famous singers and bands? What clothes did they wear? I would love to see these uploaded onto Seesaw.
Your music lesson is a listening activity talking about all the different features of music which I'm sure you all can list by now! If you can, print out the listening and responding frame to record your ideas.
