Maths: Using a tens frame - National Oak Academy Lesson 2

The lesson below follows on from yesterday. Again there are some important mathematical concepts being covered so it's a good lesson for your child to take part.

Here are a few more activities based around 'The Hungry Caterpillar'

Healthy and unheathly foods sorting activity

  • Attached below is a sorting activity. If you have a printer you could print it off and get your child to complete the activity by cutting and sticking the food into the right places.

  • If you don't have a printer you can get your child to draw healthy foods on one piece of paper, unhealthy foods on another and foods that are both on a another or you could use one piece of paper divided into three. You could think of your own food to add.

Craft Caterpillar

If you have the resources, you can try this. The instructions are attached at the bottom of the page.

Go on a bug hunt!

  • What bugs can you find in your garden/outdoor space? Can you spot any bugs if you are out on a walk with your family?

  • Keep a record of what you spot. What did you see the most of?

Have fun and enjoy your day!
