‘Nurturing Individual Excellence’

Week Beginning 11/5/20

I hope that you all had a lovely weekend and were able to celebrate VE day on Friday. Did anyone bake anything special? Or make some bunting or other decorations to celebrate?

It has been lovely speaking to so many of you and hearing your voices. There are still a few of you I have not been able to get through to yet so look out for my call.

We have lots of exciting learning planned for this week.

Art

For art this week I would like you to create your own self portrait. You can use any materials that you have available such as paints, crayons, chalks or pencils. Be as creative as you want.

Music

Use this link to go to the BBC Bitesize website to learn about pulse and rhythm.

Science

As part of our learning about humans diets, I would like you to design a healthy meal as part of a balanced diet. You can make a picture or create a model of the meal using what you have available. Please label the different parts of the meal and which food group that they belong to. There is some information about the main food groups and balanced diets uploaded to this page.

PE

Here is a dance activity based on the Jungle Book from Strictly's Oti Mabuse. Remember to ask your adult and have fun.

History

The Romans made a few attempts to invade Britian before they were successful. Read the information about Roman Invasions then select your challenge and answer the comprehension questions. The answers are also included.

There is also an information sheet with questions about Julius Caesar. You can use this sheet and fill in the boxes or you may what to create a poster or a booklet about Juluis Caesar.
