‘Nurturing Individual Excellence’

Friday 5th June

Hello Year 4!

I can't believe it is Friday already! This week has gone very fast! I hope you have all enjoyed your first week using online learning again. Thank you to everybody who sent in their Mars buggy that they made this week - they looked fantastic!

Just a reminder, we will be going live with Seesaw on Monday. You will be receiving your log in codes soon. I have already put up the learning for this week if you would like to log in before and have a look and get used to the website/app. More information about Seesaw will be added on Monday.

Maths

Please complete no more than 20 minutes on Prodigy. I update our Prodigy leader board every week. I wonder which names will be on there next!

Please remember to answer the questions on Prodigy yourself. The programme adjusts each question to you.

Today, please complete the MyMaths lesson on time -> https://app.mymaths.co.uk/1761-lesson/time-2

If you are looking for a challenge, I have uploaded some reasoning and problem solving questions for you to have a go at. The answers are included at the bottom of the document so you can mark your own work.

English

Please complete the Oak National Academy lesson on 'Features of Poetry' HERE. We had a look at some of these earlier in the week. Next week we will begin to write our own poem linked with our class text. You may want to start thinking of your own ideas.

Please remember to keep practising your spellings too. In school, on a Friday, we usually have our weekly spelling test. Perhaps you can cover up your spelling words and see how many you can remember or you could ask somebody at home to pick some words for you to spell out. Choose a few at a time to practise so you don't have to learn them all at once.

The spellings for this week can be found HERE.
