Maths (1 hour)

Please join us for a live Microsoft Teams lesson at 9:00am. 

If you were unable to join the Teams session, please begin the lesson by working through the PowerPoint at the bottom of the page. Please complete all guided activities before moving on to today's tasks. 

 

Today we are learning to divide 100 into 2, 4, 5 and 10 equal parts.

If you would like to have a go at a challenge, there is one at the bottom of the page for you. Please choose one of the activities to complete which is the right level of challenge. You do not need to complete them all. The answers are also uploaded for you on the last page of the document so, if you are able to, you can check your own answers.

Today's English lesson will be on Teams in small groups. Please let me know if you are unsure which group you are in. 

The reading texts, comprehension questions and answers have been uploaded at the bottom of the page and on Seesaw if you would like to come back and have another look. 

Group 1 - Today we are reading the rest of the text. We started to read this before half term. We will be reading page 2 and answering all the questions (uploaded at the bottom of the page).

I have uploaded the spellings for this week at the bottom of the page. You should have already received these on the Friday before half term. 

Today, please have a go at the spelling activity uploaded below. You can choose either the wordsearch or the PPT game to practise our spelling rule this week.

PE (1 hour)

Today we have something a little different for our PE lesson. Sports Coaching North West have invited Excalibur to take part in their ComPEte at home competition. Below are the three videos for the three different exercises. If you would like to take part, please fill out the results page which is uploaded below. You may wish today to just practise these activities at home. 

The deadline for entries is Friday 5th March at 12pm.

 Today we are going to look at texture. Please watch the video first before having a go at the activities below.

For today's task please find something around your house that is either smooth, soft, bumpy or rough. You may wish to find something outside and, if you are able to, to take a picture of it to draw this afternoon. Try to draw your object. Can you add texture too?

Next week, we will be putting together all the skills we have learned throughout our sketching topic to create our own pieces of Antarctica artwork!
