Look at the PPT (slides 5,6 and 7). Today, have a go at drafting the main body of the article. Here, a reporter would go into a lot more detail about the event that has occured talking about people relevant to the event and using those people to provide quotes for the article. In my WAGOLL (provided), you will see that i have used quotes from the manager of the Hotel Himalaya and the mountaineer who found the prints. In your article, you could have completely different people. It's up to you. Just remember to use speech marks if you are quoting someone otherwise, use reported speech. Also, use newspaper language.E.g. claimed, reported, alleged.
As well as this, you might want to add pictures that are relevant to the story. (These could be drawn if you are handwriting your article.) Don't forget to add a caption to each picture.
Art:
Today, have a go creating a small piece of artwork in the style of Henri Rousseau. If possible, try out different media - pencil crayon, water colour, paint etc. See which works best for you. You could try out collaging techniques to create a layered effect. This session is about practising and using a media that you are happy with. You don't need to complete a whole piece of art just yet!
