Continuing our World Book Day focus, this lesson will enable you to further understand the life and ideas of Malala Yousafzai. There are two tasks for you to complete:
Task 1: Create a fact file about Malala.
- Read through the Malala PPT and write notes as you go through about her life and her ideas and beliefs.
- Take a look at the Fact File Template.
- Create your own fact file about Malala. This can be done in any way you choose. Some options are below:
- Use the Fact File Template.
- Create a PowerPoint presentation fact file.
- Create a video presentation where you discuss the life, ideas and beliefs of Malala.
- A piece of artwork displaying the information through use of images (this could also be created on the computer).
Task 2: Discuss your own views of her ideas and beliefs
- Take a look at the Malala Quotes PDF.
- Read each quote and consider what they mean.
- Write down a sentence for each quote answering the following questions:
- Do you agree with what Malala is saying?
- Why do you think what Malala is saying is important?
- Any other thoughts.

- Compare and contrast Malala Yousafzai with Greta Thunberg.
