Well done year 4 for all your hard work whilst you have been learning at home. You are all doing brilliantly!

Spellings

I have uploaded this weeks spellings at the bottom of the page. Remember to keep practising them. You do not need to learn them all at once. Try taking one or two at a time and learning those.

Computing

I have uploaded an e-safety activity for you to complete. You may also want to go onto the ThinkUKnow website to play the game. We have looked at this in school before.

Also, there is a lesson on BBC Bitesize all about how computers work. If you would like to have a look, click on this link --> https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/z4gsy9q

Science

It was so lovely to hear that lots of you are enjoying the circuits work online last week. We are going to continue using this website again this week. Click on the picture below to take you to the website.

This week, please focus on a switch. Can you find it on the simulation? How can we make a switch work in the circuit to light a bulb?

Next, please draw and label your circuit. You may want to do this in your book or on a piece of paper. You can use the same images that the online simulation uses. Remember to label wires, battery, bulb and the switch!

History / Geography

Please continue this week with your project on The British Empire. Next week there will be a new project to start!

If you have finished, or you would like a different activity, I have uploaded a file called 'Amazing flat irons activity'. This is an activity courtesy of Englesea Brook. Year 6 visited Englesea Brook in the Autumn term. I hope you enjoy it.

Alternatively, there are some mini-projects online which you may like to have a go at. THIS mission links to jobs from the Victorian times. Please ask first.

PE

Have you been doing PE with Joe? Please ask first. He is doing a PE session every weekday HERE at 9am.

Last week we looked at the 'Cool Catcher' challenge (which you can find HERE). This week, why not have a go at the 'Creative Cricketer' video --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPAEHL1QLMk                Please ask before you click on any links.

PSHE / Mindfulness

I have really been enjoying taking a mindful moment each week. This week, why not try to spend some time sketching or colouring. There are lots of colouring activites on our VE Day page (HERE). Please ask before printing any colouring pages.

I have uploaded an activity called 'My Window'. It suggests looking out of the window and sketching what you can see. You may want to use the worksheet or you could draw your view on a piece of paper.
