Friday 5th March
It’s Friday!
Please join me for a live Teams meeting at 9:15am – our last one!
Please bring a whiteboard and pen or a pencil and paper as we are going to play a game.
I look forward to seeing you 😊
Dough Disco!
Today's song is:
Try doing a repeating pattern of moves to fit in with our Maths focus for today!
For example, pat it, pat it, penguin dive, pat it, pat it, penguin dive
Building 9 and 10 – Week 3
Today we are carrying on with patterns.
Building 9 and 10 - Week 3, Lesson 5
After you have watched the video, you are going to have a go at making some movement patterns.
See what different movement patterns you can create – you could ask somebody to continue your pattern or maybe make up a pattern for you to carry on with.
Additional activities (Optional)
These activities are optional. Please feel free to have a go at them and practise some more alternative repeating patterns 😊
Challenge Mrs Bailey!
I fancy a challenge! Maybe you could create a pattern and challenge me to be able to finish it correctly? I will post my answer on Seesaw and you can check if I am right!
Making Music Patterns
Re-visit 2explore on Purple Mash but this time, try and make your music a repeating pattern!
Shape song
To help recap 2D shapes in preparation for your Computing activity, enjoy listening to and joining in with the song below:
Computing – The 3 Little Pig’s Houses
I would like you to draw the 3 little pig’s houses!
Things to think about:
- The size of your brush
- What the houses were made from
- The different textures you can use for the different materials
Also, think carefully about the shapes that you will need to draw to create your house.
For example, a square house, a triangular roof, a rectangular door.
Can you tell your grown up the different shapes that you have drawn to make your houses?
Click on the link below to visit the Purple Mash paint project to draw your houses:
Purple Mash - Paint project - 3 little pig's houses
You can draw all 3 houses on one page or do 3 different projects.
Maybe you could label your picture to show what the house is made of?
Literacy/Story - The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig
Enjoy listening to the alternative version of 'The Three Little Pigs'.
The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig
Questions to think about:
- Which version of the story did you like best? Why?
- What did the wolves use to make their houses?
- Which house that the wolves made did you think would be the safest to protect them from the Big Bad Pig?
- Which house was the safest?
- Were you surprised which house turned out to be the safest at the end of the story?
- How is this story similar to 'The Three Little Pigs'?
- How is this story different from the 'The Three Little Pigs'?
Have a lovely day! :)
See you later for our bedtime story.
