Maths

Continuing with our frations work, today we are recognising a third. What does that mean? How many equal parts do you think there are? How many parts are coloured in? You are very good at halves and quarters. Use this link to watch the 'Recognise a Third' video. Scroll down to find week 2 (not week 2 27th April) to find the video. Videos are not available in the usual place for this unit of work, apologies. Then try the questions in 'Monday Maths Recognise A Third' in the files below.

English

This week we are going to write an information text about living in a castle. We will need to know who lived in a castle, who worked in a castle and what it was like living in a castle. So, today, there is a reading comprehension to complete and an opportunity to explore DKFindout on our class page. Living in a Castle is in the files below. Also, see me talking about this week's English in this link:

As an extra challenge can you explain how you know that one of these is living and one of these is not. Include the life processes in your explanation.

RHE

This week are thinking about staying safe when we are out and about. Sometimes we are not always with grown ups. Sometimes we can sort out our own problems and issues. But sometimes you might need a grown up to help sort things out. Use 'Staying Safe in our communities and Groups' to guide your conversations today.
