‘Nurturing Individual Excellence’

Other Areas (Wk Beg 1.6.20)

Here is our 'Other Areas' page for this week.  Remember that you can choose from the activities below over the week.  It doesn't matter what order you complete them in.

Have fun!

Mrs Cheadle

Did you complete a brilliant 'Under the Sea' project over half term?  If so, why not share your results using the 'News from Home' tab.  It will be a bit like 'Show and Tell' so everyone can see what you did.  If you didn't get chance because you were so busy enjoying the sunshine maybe you could complete one this week.  Look back at the 'Half Term Fun' page for some ideas.

Remember to keep active.  Sometimes, a run in the garden, kicking a ball or doing some skipping can help you to let off steam.  If it is raining, try some GoNoodle dances and follow the logo below...

... or do some Cosmic Kids Yoga

Below, you will find some resources to continue our 'Wonderful Weather' topic.  There is a guide showing you how to make a wind sock.  There are also some weather watch resources including a plan (for your adults to read).

Follow the link to watch wind socks and find out about their uses.

This week, we continue to find out about online safety.  You will find the 'Thinkuknow' activity sheet 4 below.  When you open the page it has a link to click to watch episode 3 'Playing Games'.  There are then some follow up activities to complete.

Today, you might want to complete another Art lesson with Miss Harris.  This lesson is all about creating ‘Shadow Art’.  We also learn about some Science words when Miss Harris asks which objects are opaque, translucent or transparent?  Follow the link below to have a go.

Follow the link below to explore two Christian stories with the BBC. The film tells the story of man robbed and left by the road and the kind Samaritan who looked after him, and the lost sheep who was found and recovered to the flock.

Religious Studies KS1: The Christian Story of the Good Samaritan and the Lost Sheep

Chat about the stories with a sibbling or an adult.

Why did the Samaritan help?

Why bother to rescue one missing sheep when you have so many?

After watching you could draw a picture to respond to the stories.
