Thursday 18th June
Happy Thursday Everyone!
We hope you are enjoying our sea theme this week.
Here are today's activities ...
Using salt to make objects float in water
- Have you ever heard of the 'Dead Sea'?
- The 'Dead Sea' is actually a lake.
- The Dead Sea gets it's name because it's hard for creatures to live in it because the water is very salty.
- Use Google Earth or an atlas to find where the lake is.
- Download the floating egg experiment below to find out what happens to objects when the water gets more and more salty.
- The salt in the water makes it easy to float so lots of people like to visit it.
- Did you make the eggs float?
- Did you make anything else float?
