Thursday 4th June
It's Thursday!
Hope you are all doing ok. Well, it rained yesterday! Perhaps we should have designed rainhats and not sunhats!
Although we couldn't get out in the sunshine it was great for the plants.
We are thinking a bit more about the different seasons today too.
Seren's Seasons
- Start by sharing the story 'Seren's Seasons', you can access the story in PowerPoint form at the bottom of the page.
- This link is for an ebook version of the story if you want to try that instead - hopefully it will work!
- Dress Seren for the weather by playing the PowerPoint game below or by printing out the cutting and sticking activity.
- You could make your own game by collecting items from around your home like a scrarf, sunglasses, jumper, shorts etc and dress for the different seasons. Don't forget to put anything away that you might have got out!
Feeling crafty?
- Try one of these sun craft activities if you have the resources.
https://craftulate.com/10-sun-crafts-for-summer/
- I like the sun that was painted using a fork to make the rays.
Maths: Oak National Academy - Creating patterns with shapes
https://www.thenational.academy/reception/maths/creating-patterns-with-shapes-reception-wk6-2
- In this lesson, we will be making and spotting different repeating patterns.
- Draw or use natural resources or your toys to create your own repeating patterns. Remember you can use anything to make your patterns with.
Phonics - 'Tell a TRex' reading questions game
- Choose CVC or CCVC/CVCC words
- There will be a simple question to read, e.g. Can a dog run? if it makes sense tick yes and if it doesn't choose no.
