‘Nurturing Individual Excellence’

Tuesday 26th January

It's Tuesday!

Good morning everyone.

There is no live Teams meeting at 9.15 today as I have sent out invites for our RWI lessons. As usual it would help if your child could be ready with something to write on such as whiteboard and pen or paper and pen/pencil.

My good morning video for today can be found at the bottom of this page.

The sessions are at the following times:

Owls: 9.30 - 9.45 am (Ditty for after the lesson is below) Please note time change

Hedgehogs: 10.00 - 10.15 am (Ditty for after the lesson is below)

Rabbits: 10.30 - 10.45 am (Ditty for after the lesson is below)

Foxes: 11.00 - 11.15 am (Ditty for after the lesson is below) (Please not time change)

Ditties are to help your child develop their reading fluency and allow them to apply their phonics skills.

Today we are also going to be doing ...

Dough Disco

Today's song is ...

Mama Mia

Remember to work those fingers! Can you include these actions in your routine today?

sausage

piano

making a pizza

superhero squeeze and walk the plank!

Maths - 'Growing 6, 7, 8!'

Let's get working out first with our song of the week.

Jack Hartman - Count to 20 and workout

This weeks lessons are all about numbers 6, 7 and 8

Lesson 2 - Sorting 6, 7 & 8 Composition of 7

Today you are going to be investigating ways to make 7.

Growing 6, 7, 8!

Try the activity below after the lesson. How can you represent 7?

Don't forget the extra activities if you need them.

Additional maths for 'Growing 6, 7, 8!'

KUW: Poles Apart - making a journey/transport

At the end of the story the Pilchard-Browns visit Mr White again.

How did they get there?

Listen again to the story from yesterday. If my version below doesn't work (it played okay on all my devices when I checked, but Mrs Jones said it wouldn't work on hers) then listen to this version on YouTube Poles Apart

How many different types of transport can you spot in the story?

Can you think of any other types of transport that weren't in the story?

Make a collection of different types of transport

You could collect different transport toys from around your home

or

draw different types

or

write a list with your grown-up

or

if you have a printer you could print some and make a collage or look through a magazine or newspaper to see if you can find some pictures, cut them out and stick them onto paper.

KUW: Purple Mash Polar Bear

Go to the Paint section in Purple Mash. Remember you will need to login. Can you complete the arctic scene?

Purple Mash Polar Bear

Have a lovely day,

Mrs Rogers
