Maths

Today we're going to be challenging everything you learned yesterday with some mastery questions based around subtracting fractions from whole amounts. Remember, these are thinking questions so feel free to draw diagrams or bar models and…if it says to explain your answer or prove it- do!

Join me for the Teams meeting at 9:15am!

Brain warmup! (10 minutes)

See how speedy you can be on “hit the button” using your division facts for times tables.

Choose a times table that you know you need to work on practising. Can you beat your score each time?

Tasks

Complete the worksheet found below- make sure you read the questions carefully and you may need to draw diagrams to help you!

Don't forget to upload all your work to Seesaw under "Maths task"

English

Today, you are going to be completing your script for your news report.

When you have finished, have a read through your script- will it interest your audience? Have you included all the facts and figures from your research? Have you pointed your audience to a place where they can find further information?

There will be an optional Teams meeting at 10:40am if you need my input or want to ask me anything!

Don't forget to upload your work to Seesaw under "English Task"

French (No Teams Meeting)

Today we are going to be looking at places that are on the equator in French!

I have attached the powerpoint that should pronounce the words and sounds for you and the worksheet!

(Hopefully the sound works on the PowerPoint if you put it on full screen. If it doesn't click on the sound at the side of the powerpoint!)

Please upload your work to Seesaw

Art (No Teams Meeting)

Today we will be focusing on still life observational drawing. This builds on from our previous session where we focused on slowing down and looking at the intricate details of the objects we were drawing with our Continuous Line technique.

For this Art session you will need a few pieces of A4 plain paper, a pencil, 4- 5 objects from around your house in various sizes and access to ‘youtube’ to play the video that has been put together.

This video starts off with a few fun drawing activities to get you warmed up. I tried them and they were fun but tricky! It really warmed up my brain, drawing skills and observational skills. Have fun!
