Wednesday 1st July
It's Wonderful Wednesday Everyone!
Today is a new month ...
We are continuing to think about recycling and how we can take care of our planet.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfoAtbDiduQ

Sorting rubbish
- Over the next few days have a look at different items of rubbish. Which can be recycled?
- What material are they made from? e.g. paper, plastic
- What do you do with things that can't be recycled or reused?
- Test your knowledge with this sorting game
Make something from recyclable materials
- There are lots of fantastic ideas on this website.
https://rainydaymum.co.uk/recycled-materials-and-junk-modelling-crafts-for-kids/
- Or you could make a poster telling people how they can help take care of our planet.
Maths:Oak Academy - Measuring
- In this lesson you will measure using non-standard units.
- Did you know you can measure the length of something using your hands or feet or even toy cars?
https://classroom.thenational.academy/lessons/estimate-lengths-of-objects-0a31b3
- You can try the measuring activity below. If you don't have a printer you can just draw round a shoe a couple of times on paper and then cut out.
- Using a ruler - at school we are going to look at a small centimetre ruler and have a go at measuring some objects we can find like a glue stick or pencil.
