Wednesday 24 February

Good morning everyone. Click on the halves to hear our morning message.

Maths

In maths today you will be finding half of shapes and half of numbers. Your division learning will help you. Please send me your maths via the Seesaw, thank you. Look at 'Wednesday Maths Find A Half' in the files below.

Remember to practise your tables. Have you been on TTRS?

English

One of the features of diary writing is the use of 'adverbs of time'. Phrases like this morning, last year, earlier today. Your sentences do not need to follow a sequence because we are practising our skills today. Use 'Adverbs of Time' in the files below, to find out more.

Watch me talking about adverbs of time here.

Please send me your sentences via the English link on Seesaw, thank you.

Remember to read to an adult for 20 minutes. Practise the 60 second read. How many words did you read today in 60 seconds.

Practise your CEW ready for a test on Friday.

Geography

The last capital city. We are off to London today. We will walk around the streets of London and visit The Tower of London. We might even take a river cruise along the Thames. I wonder which famous landmarks we might see? The London eye? Big Ben? Tower Bridge? Use 'London' to guide your geography today. The Tower of London is a concentric castle. Where is the motte and bailey castle we visited? What about the new castle? Where is the castle that was built on top of an extinct volcano?

IT

Let's try 'Dance Mat Typing', it will help you to find your way around a keyboard and it may even help you with spellings. Find 'Dance Mat Typing' here. Try Level 1, Game 1 Home Row, to start.

Afterwards, spend 20 minutes on Prodigy.
