Today it is our last lesson on money. We will be working out word problems. Similarly to yesterday's lesson, use RUCSAC to help you to find out what you will need to do to calculate the answer.

Please choose one activity to complete - please choose the activity that you would like more practise with. You can choose from the following:

1. Adding money and working out change

2. Subtracting money and working out change

3. Adding and subtracting money to work out change

Please choose the activity that you think is the most suitable for you. You do not need to complete them all. If you are comfortable adding or subtracting money then please go straight onto activity number 3.

There is also a MyMaths task that has been set for you for this week. Please also aim to complete this in today's lesson.

Spellings

Please spend some time today practising your spellings from this week. Perhaps you could ask somebody at home to check your spellings like we do in school on Fridays?

New Spellings:

I have uploaded the new spellings for this week at the bottom of this page and on Seesaw. Please continue to practise them throughout the week. If there are any words that you are unsure of, please use a dictionary to find the definitions.

Geography (1 hour)

Please begin the lesson by watching THIS video about the climate in Antarctica. Today we will be looking at comparing the United Kingdom and Antarctica, focusing on climate.

Please ask an adult before clicking on any links.

Please have a look at the activity page uploaded below. There are resources for both Antarctica and the United Kingdom. Have a look at all the photos and pictures. What do you notice? What is the same in both places? What is different? Use your own ideas and what you have learned from the BBC video to write a short paragraph comparing the United Kingdom and Antarctica.

If you would like to, please use the following links to research your own information about Antarctica and compare this with the United Kingdom. What did you find out? Let me know on Seesaw!

Please respond to the Geography task on Seesaw.

PE (1 hour)

Task (45 minutes)

We are going to continue learning skills to play cricket. Please have a go at the next Chance To Shine's Live lesson. Today there are three different activities that you can take part in to improve your batting skills. You may need a few items from around the house for today's session. Please make sure you ask before using items and that you have a safe space around you to take part in the cricket activities.
