‘Nurturing Individual Excellence’

Monday 22nd June 2020

Hi, everyone.  I hope you've had a brilliant weekend.  I went for a bike ride with my family which was lovely.  We also gave the chickens a good clean out - not so great! Here is a picture.  They've grown a lot!

Maths

Mental Maths: Spend 10 - 15 minutes on TTRS.

Scroll down to Volume, lesson 1.  Watch the lesson and complete the online activities.  I have uploaded some extra activities for you to practise your skills.  Click the link - Reading Scales - and choose from a one, two or three star activity.  Don't forget to check your answers.

English

Spellings: This week, our spelling focus will be on the letter string 'tion'.  Read through the PowerPoint then try out different activities throughout the week.

Today, we are going to focus upon our final paragraph in our leaflets - Facilities.  Holiday resorts provide lots of different facilities.  They are a provision for a particular purpose.  E.g. There might be kid's club's, a laundry, a cafe, a shop, an ice-cream parlour.  Your task is to think of 2/3 facilities to advertise in your leaflet using persuasive devices that will attract potential customers.  Read through my WAGOLL to help.

Humanities (Mrs Harris)

Today's lesson looks at how rivers are formed, the major rivers of the world and how they are marked on a map. See the PowerPoint attached.
