‘Nurturing Individual Excellence’

Thursday 2nd July

I had some great news yesterday. We had reached our next badge on Epic! That is 600 books read. Well done to everyone who has contributed to this fantastic achievement! yes

Maths

Today I have a My Maths activity for you to do based on our work on time so far. Work though the activity and then I have set the homework for you to complete.

English

You now have lots of information about the life of a Roman soldier so you are going to draft the first paragraph of your diary. This is what he would have done in the morning. Use the sentences you have created and add some of your own ideas. I have included a WAGOLL to help you.

D&T/Science

I thought this would be a good activity for you to have a go at as it links to our science work on friction that we did during Science Week. Follow the link to BBC Bitesize to investigate marble runs.

Art

The Romans were famous for the mosaics they created. Use this website to find out more about mosaics. http://www.primaryhomeworkhelp.co.uk/romans/mosaics.html

I have also included some information on this page. I would like you to create your own Roman mosaic. You could use cut up bits of coloured paper, felt tips, pencil crayons or paint. You could create a picture with your mosaic or a pattern.
