‘Nurturing Individual Excellence’

Wednesday 10th June

Hello Year 4!

Firstly, thank you to everybody who is responding to tasks via Seesaw. In only two days I have been able to contact so many of you and see the wonderful things you have been doing including poems you have written, books you have enjoyed reading, films you've seen recently and other lovely messages. Thank you all very much! Keep responding! If you haven't been able to respond to a task yet, please have a look at this video HERE which may help you.

Secondly, I am aware that many of you have been unable to find the time assignment which I uploaded yesterday. I have since found out that Prodigy automatically puts these questions into the game that you are playing. Therefore, by using Prodigy you are completing the assignment! There are a few who have completed all the questions I set! Please continue to use Prodigy as these questions will be available until Friday 12th June. Click on the Prodigy logo to get started!

If you have any other questions, please let me know through Seesaw or emails can be sent into school. I endeavour to respond, where appropriate, to all the messages I receive.

Keep safe.

Miss Bass

Maths

If you would like to continue working on the time games from earlier this week, you can find them HERE. Please carry on using these if you think you need a little more practise with telling the time. It is tricky and sometimes takes a bit of practise before you can do it quickly. Please keep trying and it will get easier!

No more than 20 minutes on either Prodigy or Times Tables Rockstars. Today, for something different, you might like to try learning the Supermovers times tables songs and dances. I really like the multiples mash-up march with Mr P but you might need a helper to shout out some numbers (a bit like our times table champion game at school).

Soon we will be moving on to our next topic. This is angles. Have a look at the Oak National Academy Lesson HERE to get started. I will also put this up again tomorrow in case you don't get chance to have a go today.

English

I received lots of wonderful poems through Seesaw yesterday. If you haven't already sent it in, I would love to read your poem. Why not read it aloud to somebody at home? Poetry is meant to be read aloud.

Please spend some time today looking at the spelling words for this week which can be found HERE. You may also want to have a go at the Classroom Secrets Kids spelling games HERE. I have provided links to some below too. Please choose the ones you would like to have a go at. You do not need to complete them all.

As it was World Oceans day on Monday, I have chosen a picture that is linked to the ocean. Please ask before clicking on the link below and answering the questions on the page. There are no right or wrong answers, it all depends on what you infer from the picture. Let me know on Seesaw what you think!
