Maths (1 hour)

Please join us for a live Microsoft Teams lesson at 9:00am.

Please ask an adult before clicking on any links.

Please work through the PowerPoint from the Teams session before completing today's activities. The PowerPoint is uploaded on Seesaw and at the bottom of the page. Please complete the guided activities on the PowerPoint before moving on to the maths tasks.

If you would like to have a go at a challenge, there is one at the bottom of the page for you. Please choose one of the activities to complete which is the right level of challenge. You do not need to complete them all. The answers are also uploaded for you on the last page of the document so, if you are able to, you can check your own answers.

Please remember to try and include those sentence starters too!

This should take you the remainder of the lesson (approx. 40 minutes).

Please upload your responses to the English task on Seesaw. Thank you.

Science (1 hour)

In science, we are continuing our topic all about light.

I know how much we all enjoy Supermovers so I thought we could start today's science lesson with a video all about light. You can watch the video HERE

Did you recognise the music too? We were listening to the Doctor Who Theme music in our music lesson last week!

Please ask an adult before clicking on any links.

Next, please work through the Oak National Academy lesson.

Click HERE to go to the lesson.

You will be finding objects that are opaque and transparent. You can let me know on Seesaw which objects you found.

Challenge

In Antarctica, it can be light for 24 hours during the summer. This means that people working at the research base struggle to sleep at night. They need curtains that willl block the light.

Using your knowledge from the Oak National Academy online lesson, which material would you choose to make curtains for the Antarctic base? Why?

Please upload your responses to the Science task on Seesaw. Thank you.

French (1 hour)

Today, in French, we are looking at The Very Hungry Caterpillar story. Please click the link below to watch the story in French.

Please click HERE to watch and listen to the story. Did you spot the days of the week and the food items that we have been learning?

Please ask an adult before clicking on any links.

Task

Please have a go at the activity uploaded at the bottom of the page. If you are unable to print the sheet, please complete the activity in your book or on a piece of paper.

Please draw pictures and write the words in French to show what the caterpillar eats on each day and how many. You may want to watch the story again before completing this activity.

Please upload your responses to the French task on Seesaw. Thank you.
