Pre-school
In Pre-school, the children have been enjoying healthy snacks and trying new flavours, They have also showed kindness by helping out with little jobs around the classroom. Everyone loves helping to wash and wipe the dishes. All the children know how to stop playing and to pick up our things when it is 'tidy up' time. Our 'clean up' song helps remind us to work as a team to get the job done!
At home, the pre-schoolers have been creating 'well-being' boxes full of treasured photos and special objects. During carpet time, they have been encouraged to show the other children the things they have in their 'well-being' box. The children also like to go and get their 'well-being' box to look at if they are feeling a bit sad or just want to show a friend.
Reception
In Reception, the children have been busy thinking about the things that they are great at. The children created golden coins to celebrate the thing that they were great at. These coins were stored in a special treasure chest to celebrate the things that made the children special.
Everyone, enjoyed meeting Pantosaurus when the children found out about the PANTS rules with the NSPCC. They tried hard to join in with the song and enjoyed designing their own pants for a bunting line.
Year 1

The children also found out how kind and unkind behaviour can impact others. They discussed how even though they can't be friends with everyone they can still work together and be kind to one another. Year 1 then went on to a new theme, finding out about 'Recognising strengths and weaknesses'. This gave the children the opportunity to talk about what makes each of us special, about similarities and how to respect and celebrate differences.
