November 2021

We have some new additions to the library this month, recommendations from the children and other sources.

Here are our new magazine subscriptions that have been added to our library shelves. We have two brand new subscriptions 'The Phoenix' and 'Storybox'. The Phoenix Comic is a weekly comic based story magazine aimed at 7-14 year olds. The Storybox is a monthly mgazine aimed at younger children offering a selection of stories and illustrations from top authors and artists around the world.

Here are the Waterstones recommendations for November 2021.

Maddie in Year 6 recommended 'Famous Five' by Enid Blyton. We found all of the Enid Blyton books in the school, including 'Secret Seven' and have put them all together on a shelf in the library for easy access.

Year 6 have enjoyed the Excalibur Library this half term, finding new books as well as revisiting old favourites.

A new book order arrived today with lots of recommendations from the children. Alex Rider was recommended by Oscar (Y6), Guiness World Records by Isaac (Y6), Paddington by Maisie (Y6) and The Mysterious Benedict Series by Ethan (Y6). Some great choices!
