Mrs Cheadle met with a group of KS1 children and this is what they had to say.

What do you like about RE?

Jesus helps people - Year 1

I like the Bible stories.  I've got my own Bible at home and I look at the stories. - Year 1

I think RE is interesting. - Year 2

We learn about God and what people believe. - Year 2

What fun activities do you remember doing in RE?

We sang a song and waved palm leaves to celebrate Jesus coming. - Year 1

I remember acting out the story of baby Jesus. We made Diva lamps and sang songs about Diwali.  I remember acting out Rama and Sita in Reception.  I was Sita!  It was fun! - Year 1

We sometimes draw pictures and make things.  I like the stories. - Year 2.

How do you know if you've done well in RE?

I can answer questions and I sometimes I tell my elbow partner what I think. - Year 2

We can pair and share what we think. - Year 1

Everyone thinks different things so we don't know if it's the right answer...it's what we think. - Year 2

Sometimes we choose which is most important. - Year 1
