Reception

During the Summer term, Reception Class went to Wesley Place to meet Reverend Rob Hilton and to find out what happens in a church. Reverend Hilton showed us around the church. He explained what happens when 2 people want to get married. Joy and Parker sat on two special chairs and stood at the front just like you do when you get married. Maggie, Rafferty and Joel pretended to be the Mum, Dad and child of a family who had come together for a baptism. We listened to some beautiful organ music that was played using a computer! The church is an important place for people to come together.

During the Spring term, Year 5 went on a visit to a local church.  They took part in a range of activities based around the Easter story.  The children had the opportunity to ask and answer questions to futher their knowledge. Everyone worked hard to represent the school beautifully.  Well done Year 5!
